Identifying Key Donation Challenges

The app was designed to tackle two main issues in existing donation platforms: lack of transparency and the limited scope of donation types. Through interviews and empathy mapping, I gathered insights from donors and beneficiaries to define features that build trust and inclusivity.

Designing for Broader Impact

The product vision was clear: create a donation platform where users can give in more ways — not just money, but books, clothes, and services. I mapped the user journey, highlighted friction points, and designed features that made donations easy to track and more personal.

Ideation & Wireframing

Using insights from affinity mapping and research, I sketched out wireframes and information architecture in Figma and Miro, focusing on simplicity and user confidence. Donation pathways were clearly segmented, and trust-building elements like donation tracking were emphasized.

Interactive Prototype & Testing

A working prototype was built to simulate key flows, including donation submission, voucher generation, and transparency reports. This allowed us to conduct usability testing and refine the interactions based on feedback — particularly making sure the donation process felt transparent and rewarding.
